The Benefits of Pet-Friendly Communities and What That Looks Like at Crestwood

Animals are a big part of families all around the world, and having a pet is only getting more popular. In fact, nearly 85 million homes across the United States have some sort of pet. If you have a pet or are considering getting one, finding a pet-friendly living situation is essential.

Finding a pet-friendly home means more than just a location where your dog, cat, or goldfish can live. At Crestwood Apartments , we offer pet-friendly amenities such as green space, waste stations, and more to help you in your pet ownership journey. Here’s why a pet-friendly community is so important, what Crestwood can do for you and your pet, and how to make the most of our accommodations.

Supporting Your Health

You may not realize it, but your pets can actually keep you healthy. Pets help your mental health by providing social support and lowering your stress levels. They can also lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels, so you can live a longer and happier life. Owning a dog gives you a reason to go for walks, which gives you a chance to exercise and maybe even meet new people. A pet-friendly community gives you the support you need to have animals in your life and reap the rewards of owning a pet.

Owning a Pet at Crestwood

At Crestwood, it is important to us to make your home a welcoming place for your family, and we know pets are part of the family too. That’s why we allow small dogs (25 pounds or under) to cats, fish, birds, and small, caged pets. It is important to note that we have dog breed restrictions due to size and behavior traits. Additional or other pets must be approved by the management—only authorized pets with the owner’s approval are allowed on the premises.

Giving Your Pets Room to Roam

You don’t need to own a Great Dane to know animals like to have their space—and yours too, while they’re at it. We’re happy to be able to give your pets lots of space, inside and outside your home. Our two- and three-bedroom apartments provide a lot of room for your Shih Tzu to run its little legs off, and your tabby can have its own space to sun itself (and perhaps even allow you to scratch its belly from time to time). You are welcome to explore the beautiful ground with your leashed pet, and we provide several pet waste stations around the property to help you clean up after Fluffy. And if you ever need more space, Barker Ranch Dog Park is less than 10 minutes away, an excellent dog park with a separate entrance for small dogs and water stations for your pup.

At Crestwood Apartment Homes, we believe your pet is an integral part of your family, and we offer pet-friendly policies and amenities to help take care of your beloved animals. Come home to Crestwood, where your two- and four-legged family members can create memories to last a lifetime.
