Summer in Lake Forest is a fun time. At Crestwood Apartments , we’re near Disneyland, Los Angeles, and the beach, and our city itself has some great, unique activities. From the Laguna Hills Farmers Market to city-run activities to the Arden Helena Modjeska Historic House and Gardens, here are three of the best activities in Lake Forest, California.
Laguna Hills Certified Farmers Market
Every Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., you can buy a variety of delicious local food at the Laguna Hills Farmers Market . There’s fresh fruit, breads, vegetables, dips, granola, oils and vinegars, and more. It’s small but filled to the brim with high-quality products. Head over to the Laguna Hills Mall to check it out!
City Activities, Classes, and Clubs
Lake Forest holds a ton of activities, classes, and clubs . There’s something for everyone! Here are a couple of highlights:
- Princess academy: “Frozen in Summer” Camp. This is a weeklong camp teaching beginner dance, etiquette, crafts, and more.
- Zumba classes: There are several beginner Zumba classes available, each combining classic Zumba dances with light weights for a great workout!
- Chess Wizards Inc. Camp: This day camp incorporates other activities (like puzzles, physical games, and skill-building activities) with chess for an engaging experience for kids.
- OC Parks Events: This summer in Orange County, the OC Parks Summer Concert Series and Sunset Cinema Film Series are back! From June 18 to September 10, there will be 10 free concerts and 13 free movie showings. Arden Helena Modjeska Historic House and Gardens
The gorgeous century-old home of Madame Helena Modjeska , a famous actress of Polish descent, is situated in a beautiful grove of live oaks. Today, it is both a California historical landmark as well as a National Historic Landmark. One of our favorite activities in Lake Forest, California, is to explore the grounds. The grounds are open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and you can take a guided tour those same days. Reservations are required, so be sure to book ahead of time.
